Poole holds a U.S.S.F National A license and NSCAA Premier Diploma. Poole has held numerous soccer roles and worked along some of the best coaches in the nation including stints as an assistant coach with UNC Charlotte 49ers, Charlotte Eagles (USL) pro goalkeeper coach, director of goalkeeping for the NC ODP program, and is a member of the USYS Region III coaching staff. Poole is currently the assistant National Team Coach of Puerto Rico. Poole gained valuable experience in 2011 by coaching in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers with the 'Blue Hurricane'.  Poole has most recently spent time with United States U15 Girls National Team and United States U18 Women's National Team.


Poole spent four years playing at Wingate University. While at Wingate, Poole was fortunate enough to win two conference championships and picked up many accolades along the way. While in his native England, Poole played as a youth player for Newcastle United before spending three seasons with Hull City AFC. Poole’s development of goalkeepers at pro, college and club level has been very productive by placing two goalkeepers in the MLS, producing USYS Region III team participants, aiding two US Youth National team keepers, and developing multiple NCAA (DI & II) players.

Jeremy holds the U.S.S.F. National A License, NSCAA Premier Diploma, and US Youth Soccer National Youth License. Jeremy had a one year stint at Erskine College as the Men’s Assistant Coach.  He has four and one-half years previously at Lake Norman Soccer Club as Director of Coaching for the girls, and a five-month stint at Savannah Soccer Academy before returning to LNSC in the summer of 2011.  Jeremy spent four years playing at Erskine College where he captained the team his final year.

Stephen holds his USSF 'B' License.  Stephen was most recently at North Meck Soccer Club where he was the Assistant Girls Director. In his 16 months at the club he captured 3 State Cup runner up trophies, as well as trophies at Disney Soccer Showcase, Ultimate Cup, and Annandale Premier Soccer Showcase. Prior to North Meck Stephen was the Assistant Director of Classic and Director of CASL F.I.T at Capital Area Soccer League in Raleigh, NC where he won two NCYSA State Cups.  A four year letter winner and co-captain at Guilford College, Stephen’s certification includes USAW Olympic Weightlifting Certified, Certified Personal Trainer,  and USATF Level 1 Coach.  His coaching background has seen him serve as the Assistant Coach at Guilford College as well as Assistant Coach for the W-League Carolina Railhawks. Tournament success has come at all levels most notably at Disney and Jefferson Cup. In his time coaching Stephen has placed over 40 athletes in college soccer programs.

Adam Denton holds a USSF National "A", NSCAA Premier Diploma, and UEFA "B" License.  Denton has held director of coaching positions with various age groups over the last 10 years.  While at Charlotte Soccer Club and Charlotte Soccer Academy, he coached eight different teams to a total of 11 USYS State Championships.  Denton has also lead his teams to regional competitions, ECNL conference championships, numerous tournament victories including WAGS, Jefferson Cup, and the Disney Soccer Showcase.  Denton has coached well over 150 female players that have gone on to play at the collegiate soccer level.  Denton is a member of the USYS Region III ODP and NC ODP coaching staff.

 

Adam is a native of Liverpool, England, and was a young professional player with Everton Football Club (1995-1997).  Denton spent four years playing at Wingate University.  While at Wingate (1997-2001), Denton received SAC Freshman of the Year, All Conference, All Region, and All-American Honors.

Gary recently received his USSF 'B' License to go along with his F.A. Level 2 coaching badge. Gary started his coaching career in England at the age of 16 with Wallsend Boys Club and then with Hartlepool United’s Acdemy program. Gary also has experience coaching soccer in the States with programs such as ‘Coaching in the Community’ with East Select Soccer in Minnesota and Challenger Soccer Camps around the country during the summer of 2010. Gary Graduated from Louisburg College and was part of the successful soccer program which became nationally ranked at #3 in the country. As a teenager, Gary attended professional soccer academies in Liverpool, Sunderland and Hartlepool as a player before moving to America.

Nick holds a USSF 'B' License, along with his F.A Level 1 coaching badge and spent seven months coaching in Primary Schools and advanced evening sessions in England for D.S Soccer Schools. Nick has recently graduated from Pfeiffer University with an Exercise Science Bachelor's Degree. While attending Pfeiffer, Nick captained the soccer team for three out of his four seasons there, winning multiple individual honors at Conference, Regional and State level. He has also spent time playing in the Professional Development League with the Virginia Legacy and most recently with the Carolina Dynamo helping them win the South Atlantic Division.

Courtney Costello joins LNSC after spending four years with the Florida State University Women’s Soccer Team, two of which she was the Graduate Assistant. While working for Florida State the team won two ACC Championship titles and made four College Cup appearances, including three Final Fours and finishing as the National Championship runner-up in 2013. Costello's responsibilities included day-to-day administrative duties as well as in season and offseason planning. This included the logistics associated with the Seminole Soccer summer camps and FSU’s Soccer Project 4.0 Academy. Away from FSU, Courtney was an assistant coach for two years for Tallahassee United Futbol Club’s U15 girls team while assisting with coaching summer camps and youth academies for the club.

Native of Orlando, FL, Costello graduated magna cum laude with her Masters in Sport Management from Florida State University and holds an FSU Masters Coaching Certification.

In 2008, Chad helped establish the highly successful Eclipse program . Since then he has coached teams that have made several final four appearances in the state cup, competed in the Region III Premier League, and several of the top tournaments in the World, including a Dana Cup (Denmark) Championship in 2009.  Chad also coaches girls' soccer at Davidson Day School who won a state championship in the spring of 2011. Chad grew up playing soccer in Ohio, playing club ball for Cleveland United, and high school soccer at Brunswick High School.  He moved to North Carolina in 1994 to attend Davidson College, where he played until injuring his knee.  After living in the South Pacific (Vanuatu) for two years while serving in the Peace Corps, Chad returned to the area with his wife Kristin.  He has been coaching soccer in the area since 2000.

Daniel holds his USSF National D coaching license and has been coaching with LNSC since 2010. Before moving to the area in 2009, Daniel was the assistant coach of Irondequoit High School in Rochester, NY. Daniel played four years of Division III soccer at Baptist Bible College in Clarks Summit, PA, serving as team captain his senior year and earning multiple scholar-athlete accolades.  Currently, Daniel is coaching the boys soccer team at Statesville Christian School in addition to teaching health and physical education courses.

Daniel serves as the coaching director of the LNSC Statesville branch, which offers recreation, academy and classic programs in the Statesville, NC area.

Kevin played high school soccer at Mooresville High school.  While in high school, he also played his club ball for the Iredell Rowdies.  He continued his playing career by playing club soccer at East Carolina University.  He previously coached at LNSC before taking on the boys' assistant coaching job at Mooresville High School and was most recently the boys' and girls' JV coach and Varsity assistant coach at East Lincoln high school.  Kevin has also coached various summer camps in the area.

Nick comes to us with wealth of coaching and playing experience. Nick played at Catawba College from 2001-2004 and was a four year starter and two year captain at Catawba.

Currently Nick is the women's assistant coach at Catawba College and has been for the past three seasons. Before joining Lake Norman, Nick was with FCCA for 6 years where he coached U9- U11 boys and U17-U18 girls. He has coached numerous players who have gone on to play DI, DII and DIII soccer. He is also coaching the West Rowan High School girls soccer team where his accolades there include being  named conference coach of the year in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013. This past year Nick was named North Carolina 3A State Coach of the year. In 2014, Nick transitioned to the head coaching role for the women's varsity team at Lake Norman High School.

 

Tammy DeCesare

Coach Tammy DeCesare comes to LNSC after most recently being the head coach at Lenior-Rhyne University. DeCesare came to Lenior-Rhyne after spending the three previous seasons as an Assistant Coach at Queens University of Charlotte. She helped the Queens Royals earn their first top 25 NCAA national ranking in school history. Prior to Queens Coach DeCesare was the Head Women’s Soccer Coach at Western Carolina and Coastal Carolina. As Head Coach at WCU DeCesare led Western Carolina to a 58-36-13 mark including two Southern Conference Tournament Championships and two berths in the NCAA Division I Playoffs.  The 2005 season was the best in school history at WCU. In her lone season with Coastal Carolina, DeCesare led the CCU Chanticleers to a share of the Big South Regular Season Championship and a 10-8-2 mark. DeCesare has been actively involved in the Olympic Development Program (ODP) for the past 10 years and was a Region III ODP Coach and Administrator. DeCesare started her collegiate coaching career at UNC Wilmington where she spent six years as an assistant.  DeCesare also served as Head Women’s Soccer Coach at East Rowan High School in Salisbury, N.C. Coach DeCesare earned her undergraduate degree from Catawba College in 1996 before earning her Master’s of Education in Curriculum Design and Instructional Supervision in 2002 from UNC Wilmington.  Currently, DeCesare is pursuing her Doctorate of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership at UNC Charlotte. DeCesare was a standout dual sport athlete at Catawba, playing both women’s soccer and women’s basketball.  DeCesare was an all-conference honoree and team MVP for the Catawba College Indians’ soccer team and led Catawba to two league tournament titles and a SAC Regular Season Championship.  In women’s basketball, DeCesare was part of the 1993 Food Lion SAC Tournament Championship squad.

Coach Strange holds a USSF C license along with the NSCAA National Goalkeeping Diploma. Before joining LNSC, Strange was a Director of Coaching for FC Carolina Alliance. Strange also oversaw all of the clubs goalkeeping programs. Prior to joining FCCA, Strange was the Director of Goalkeeping for Greensboro United, Goalkeeper coach for Greensboro College, and Catawba College. Currently Strange is the Davidson College Men's Goalkeeper Coach.

Strange attended the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill. Where he was a member of the 2001 National Championship team. Strange received a BS in Exercise Sports Science with a focus on Sports Administration.

Adam Sewell

Originally from England where he grew up playing for Great Yarmouth Town FC, Adam joins LNSC after recently graduating from High Point University. In his first year at HPU, Adam was named the Big South Freshman of the year and a member of the Big South All-Freshman team. Adam was also named a Freshman All-American by CollegeSoccerNews.com. In his sophomore & junior year Adam was named to the All Big South Second team and the All-Tournament Team. In his senior year, Adam was named First Team All Big South, NSCAA All State Team, & NSCAA All Region Team. Through his 4 years Adam was a member of the Big South Presidential Honor Roll Selection as well as a Millis Scholar-Athlete.

Tinashe Mugabe

Tinashe Mugabe is a Zimbabwe native who attended Louisburg Junior College and led them to a 2007 Region III NJCAA Regular Season Championship. Upon the completion of his Associates Degree at Louisburg, Coach Mugabe transferred to NCAA Division I soccer program UNC-Wilmington for two years where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in International Business. He helped lead UNCW to a #23 national ranking while helping the school win the CAA 2009 regular-season Championship and 2009 CAA Tournament. They advanced to the NCAA Round of 16 that year. After graduating, Coach Mugabe moved to Australia to continue his playing career with NSW Premier League side Manly United. He then moved to Germany to continue playing with FC Bruchsal who gained promotion into the Oberliga in his first year there. Coach Mugabe returned to Manly United in Australia for half a season before coming back to the United States to pursue a coaching career. He most recently was the Director of Soccer at USA Soccer Academy in Mooresville, NC prior to joining LNSC.

Michael Stillman

Coach Stillman holds his USSF D License and has been working with LNSC Central for the past two seasons. Michael grew up in Pennsylvania playing for youth soccer powerhouse FC Delco as well as Downingtown United. He continued his playing career as the 4-year starting goalkeeper for Towson University in Maryland. Michael then continued his playing career in the United Soccer League (USL) playing for the Delaware Wizards for two seasons. Coach Stillman has previously coached and worked with Fairpoint Soccer Club (Rochester,NY) and Rochester Futbol Club (NY), while also having served as an assistant at his alma mater Towson.

Coach Kazree brings 25+ years of experience as a player and over 15 years as a coach at many different levels. Kazree started playing as a young child and worked her way up to elite levels including select, ODP, and regional teams in her playing days. Coach Kazree has coached various ages of club soccer. Kazree coached for the Utah Soccer Association Soccer Club and Murray Max Soccer Club in Utah. Upon moving to North Carolina she began coaching with FCCA and then Lake Norman Soccer Club. Kazree has led teams to champion and finalist positions in many tournaments.

Neil Armstrong

Coach Armstrong holds a USSF E license, an NSCAA Level 2 & 3 Diploma, and is a USSF certified referee. Coach Neil has been a South Iredell Soccer Association (SISA) board member for the past eight years while working in the soccer community.  He has twelve plus years of coaching experience, working primarily with the SISA organization. He has been coaching with LNSC Central program for the last 3 years. Neil attended Charlotte Catholic High School and North Carolina State University.  In addition to soccer, he has also coached baseball, basketball and competitive swimming.

Ed Bice has been coaching boys and girls soccer in the Lake Norman area for 8 years at the recreation and challenge levels for SISA, Mooresville YMCA, ICRD and Lake Norman-SISA Challenge.  Ed holds a U.S.S.F. Class E Coaching license.  Ed played high school soccer and competed in the New York State Class C Championship game.  Ed’s youth teams have won many tournaments including the NC State Games in 2012 and 2013.

David Wlodarczyk

David was born in Lodz, Poland. He began playing soccer at the age of 4 with the Soccer Club "STS Lodz." David played for a professional Division III team within the same Soccer Club. At 12, he was playing for Center Region for Poland U-12 as well representing the City of Lodz for U12 and U13. David played on two different division III teams and briefly with a Division II team before moving to Naperville, IL. David earned a full scholarship to play for Robert Morris University (NAIA) Springfield, IL. There he received the MVP award and the All American Scholar award. David graduated with a Computer Science degree. After College, he was an assistant Coach for Illinois College at Jacksonville, IL for one season. David played for the amateur soccer league in Chicago (Eagles Chicago). Then he started coaching one of the amateur league teams, Lightning Chicago.

Andrew Steedman has been hired as the LNSC as a Director of Coaching over the Huntersville area. Andrew will start in late May.  Andrew has been working in club soccer locally for twelve years and through his time has created a very successful program in the Huntersville area.  Andrew moved to the area in 2000 from Scotland where he was employed by Clydebank FC, a professional club there as Company Secretary, and he also worked with the professional youth teams in the club.  He moved over to the United States to start the Strikers Soccer Center in Huntersville which is considred one of the top soccer development centers in the country.  He currently holds a USSF National D License and a National Youth License.  Andrew is married with three kids.  His daughter, Sarah, is currently playing with the 97 LNSC Eclipse.

Jason holds a NSCAA Premier Diploma.  He grew up playing high school and club soccer in Plattsburgh, NY.  Unable to play in college due to Compartment Syndrome in his right Quadricep. In August 2001, he took over the East Lincoln Boys' and Girls' Soccer Programs. The boys' team has made the playoffs seven times in ten seasons, conference champions in the fall 2009 and finished 2nd in the conference for three consecutive seasons.  Named Conference Coach of The Year 2003 and 2009.  His girls' team made six consecutive trips to the state playoffs, reaching the state quarters twice.  Named Conference Coach of the Year 2004, 2006, 2007, 2009.  Named Regional Coach of the year 2007.

Ross Englert

Coach Ross Englert comes to LNSC from Charlotte United where he was a volunteer assistant for the U16 and U13 boys age groups. Ross has also coached at East Lincoln High School, both boys and girls. Ross has his USSF E license. Ross played his high school soccer at Porter Ridge High School and was a All-Conference and All-Region Selection while also playing club soccer in Charlotte for Mecklenburg Union (now CSA Mathews). Ross is currently attending UNC Charlotte and pursing a degree in marketing.

Darryl White

Title: Assistant Director of Coaching - Lincoln County

Darryl White has coached soccer in the Lincoln County and Iredell County area for over 17 years.  He currently holds his NSCAA Advanced Regional Diploma.  He is one of the original founders of middle school soccer in Lincoln County.  Darryl coached boys and girls middle school soccer at Statesville Middle School for 4 years and at East Lincoln Middle School for 8 years.  He then moved to East Lincoln High School as the JV boys and girls coach and assistant varsity coach, working with Coach Jason Dragoon.  While  working at ELHS Coach White was named North Carolina Assistant Coach of the Year.   Darryl coached 3 seasons of recreational soccer with North Mecklenburg  Soccer Association.  He played 4 seasons of adult recreational soccer with North Mecklenburg  Adult Soccer League.  Coach White was an assistant coach with one of the first Iredell Rowdies girls club teams out of Mooresville( Iredell Rowdies eventually became Lake Norman Soccer Club.)  This is his third season with LNSC, having coached boys academy and U12 Challenge girls.

Carrie Bachofner

Carrie played Division I soccer at the University of Dayton. Her coaching experience includes multiple soccer camps along with coaching at the club level at Strikers for several years.

 

Andrea Barberi

Andrea Barberi is a 32 year old, female from Rochester, NY. She moved to Charlotte in 2004 after graduating from Clarkson University with a degree in Engineering and Management. She recently finished a graduate degree in Business and Health Administration at UNC Charlotte and currently works at Carolinas Healthcare System in workforce and personal development. She lives in Huntersville and has a 3 year old, rescue dog named Callie.

Andrea began playing soccer at the age of 3 and continues to play today in the Charlotte Women's Soccer League. In high school she played for a premier soccer team, Rochester Spirit with Abby Wambach (subsequently known as Rochester Junior Rhinos). She was a member of ODP and made the NY State team in 1998. She mainly is an offensive player, but played central midfield all four years for her Div. III collegiate team.

Her coaching experience includes a U10-U13, girl’s, challenge team for Strikers Soccer in 2007. 2012/13 she coached the u10 FCCA Huntersville Wee Glaswegians that won the Classic 2 league playing up at u11. Her team went to the Jef Cup in VA and were finalists.  Her coaching philosophy embraces individuality and team respect, all while having fun.

 

Kevin Cunane

Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Kevin has played organized soccer since the age of five. This included playing on the Varsity soccer team at Vance High School for three years. At Vance, Kevin was the captain his senior year were he also received all conference honors. Currently he works at Strikers soccer center. For the past two years he has also coached several teams in the FCCA Huntersville academy program.

 

Lenny Govia

Lenny has a wide range of coaching experience and currently holds a USSF C license and his NSCAA Advanced Regional Diploma. His playing experience includes high school and club soccer in his native St. Kitts, (moved to the United States at age 19) 2 years at Borough of Manhattan Community College, and multiple club soccer teams in the New York City/New Jersey area. He has coached adult club soccer in New Jersey, worked at multiple summer soccer camps in New Jersey. He has spent the last 5 years coaching with FCCA, highlighted by winning the Jefferson Cup in 2012 with the 99 FCCA Highlanders.

Aaron has coached youth soccer at recreational and competitive levels in North Carolina for the past 6 years.  Most recently, Aaron has been coaching U9 – U10 Academy soccer with FCCA Huntersville, NC.  Aaron played youth and club soccer in Illinois before moving to the Lake Norman area in 2003. 

 

Russell Steedman

Russell Steedman is 21 years old. He moved from Glasgow, Scotland at 15 years old. Played in Scotland for boys clubs at a good standard of youth soccer and school soccer teams. Captain of Davidson Day School soccer team for all 4 years, as well as playing for North Meck Soccer Club for two years. Started coaching 00 boys Highlanders team when 18 years old after helping coach a U10 Girls team. The 00 Highlanders won many Tournaments with the highlight being this past spring when they won the Jefferson Cup in VA. Has an E-license coaching badge since 17 years old and looking forward to getting the D in the summer. Last season coached a U8 Academy team. Each summer at Strikers he coaches Summer Camps and helps out the Everton FC Youth Academy coaches who come over each year.

Carlos Toscano

Carlos Toscano is a NCYSA licensed coach and has coached youth soccer at various clubs throughout North and South Carolina for over 20 years. His passion for the sport began at a young age playing soccer in Ecuador and he continues to play even today.  Recently coached in the FCCA Huntersville Academy program.

Steve's playing experience includes winning a Connecticut High School State Championship with Wethersfield High School in 1977. Steve also captained the team and made the all-conference team during his time there. While in high school, Steve played club soccer for Wethersfield Soccer Club, winning the Connecticut state title as a U16 player. After high school, Steve moved onto play at Norwich University, where he was a two-year starter.

Steve's coaching background included a stint at Wethersfield High school in 1988. He moved to North Carolina in 1995 and coached at Cabbarus Soccer Association (now FCCA) from 2000-2002. Steve then took a break from coaching, but returned to coaching again at FCCA Huntersville from 2011-2013. Steve currently holds his USSF E license.

Coach Murray holds a USSF F certificate for coaching. Originally from Scotland, Coach Murray played on various boys’ club teams as well as high school soccer growing up. Garry then went on to play Saturday & Sunday adult minor league soccer in Scotland. Garry also spent several years coaching adult soccer before moving to the US. Garry coached at LNSC Huntersville prior to moving over to coach for the SISA & LNSC Central program the last 3 years. Garry is still active in the game and plays in the SISA adult league.
