Jason Kuykendall has been interested in athletics and fitness since he was 5 years old, beginning with soccer and going on for many years with track, cross country, wrestling, and baseball. Today he is focused on long distance cycling, running, weight training, and backpacking. For over 12 years Jason volunteered at his church as a teacher and service coordinator for 3-5 year olds. He believes that adequate physical activity on a regular basis helps children learn best, while also building self-esteem and problem solving skills.
Owner/Director Becky has always been physically active. She played soccer from fifth grade through college. She played on select and indoor teams and was named Captain of her high school team. She has 6 years’ experience as a preschool teacher, is a Certified Personal Trainer and Fitness Nutritionist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and is pursuing her certification for Personal Training through ACE.
Becky was a Physical Education Teacher for five different preschools in the Cincinnati area, teaching children age 2 to school age and also ran a Yoga Club for an After-School Program. "I created Flex Kids Fitness because I have a passion for teaching children to be healthy. In my experience children are inactive far too often. Flex Kids Fitness is such a great program to promote healthy habits and gross motor activity. I love seeing the children overcome themselves by using their imagination. We are excited to have a program that will help children develop healthy habits and a love of fitness they can carry into adulthood."
