I received a postcard in the mail that my child is not registered, but we have paid. What do we do?
The postcards are sent by CSA as bulk mailings. If you already registered, disregard the postcards. They are simply a reminder. |
When will we be contacted by a coach?
A coach will contact you the week after Coaches Saturday, which is 2 weeks before the first game. |
Rosters have been handed out, and my child has still not been contacted.
Many times, coaches are trying to negotiate their work schedules and practice times. Please be patient. If you have not heard from a coach a week before the first game, please contact us via Email! |
What if I want to coach my child’s team?
If you would like to coach your child’s team, contact us via Email! If we need coaches for your child’s age group, someone will contact you. |
Does CSA offer any coaches training?
Yes. During the off season, CSA offers and encourages all coaches to attend one of the TSSA coaches training courses. In addition, there is always a class offered at Coaches Saturday for all first time coaches. |

How can I become more involved with the Columbia Soccer Association? Are there any Staff positions open?
Contact CSA via Email! CSA always needs more volunteers. |
How often do soccer teams hold practices? When do they practice?
Because coaches are volunteers, practices are scheduled by the coaches. Teams practice once or twice a week. |
When are the games? During the week, or weekends only?
All games are played on Saturdays. |
Can travel players play on rec team?
Absolutely, travel players sometimes play both travel and rec for different reasons. |

Do CSA Recreation teams travel to play ball?
Sometimes other leagues will invite CSA Rec teams to travel to such places as Pulaski and Lawerenceburg. This is only open to teams U10 and older. |
Do we get to keep our uniforms?
Yes. The uniform is yours to do with what you want. Some children wear theirs to school or just for play clothes around the house. If you like you can donate them to churches or other organizations so that they may be used on things such as mission trips. CSA will have a place to donate your uniforms so that we can give them to these organizations in large lots. Look for the box at the referee shed. |

No regular tennis shoes are okay. |
We want to buy cleats; is there a certain type or rule about type – metal, non-metal, toe cleat?
