Tiny Toes Academy

Introduction:
The Tiny Toes Academy is designed to introduce players at the youngest possible age to the organized game of soccer. Using an academy style format, each player will get his or her first look at proper soccer technique taught in a fun and energetic environment.

The academy format of teaching soccer is: All players are coached by one primary instructor in a group setting. One technical aspect of the game is taught each week.

Player Eligibility:
The Tiny Toes Academy is open to both male and female players. All players participating in the Tinny Toes Academy must be no older than 4 but at least 3 years old prior to the season starting. (For example; for the fall seasons the player must be 3 prior to opening day and for the spring seasons they must be 3 prior to opening day.) All players must be out of diapers.

Format:
All Players will meet at the Columbia Soccer Association fields (Cook Soccer Park) at a time scheduled by CSA. The CSA mentor will bring all players together for a fun technical training session. After the training session the trainer will divide the players into teams and the teams will play a game. The division of players will change each week. To allow each player an opportunity to be exposed to as many children and playing abilities as possible.

Mentor:
The mentor, or mentors, will be chosen and provided by the Columbia Soccer Association Board of Directors.

Players Equipment:
All players will be issued a uniform by the Columbia Soccer Association. The uniform will consist of 1 jersey (All players will wear the same color jerseys) 1 pair of soccer shorts and 1 pair of soccer socks.

Players are responsible for the following items:

• Soccer cleats or athletic shoes. NO FOOTBALL OR BASEBALL CLEATS due to the Toe cleat.
• All players are required to wear shin guards at all times while participating in any Academy or CSA program.
• All players should have their own size 3 soccer ball.

Rules:

• Game Duration: 30 minutes including 4 breaks for all players
• Ball Size: 3
• Field Size: 25yrds x 20yrd
• Goal Size: 4ft x 9ft
• Number of Players: 3 v 3 - NO GOAL KEEPERS
• Substitutions: Open subs or as the trainer sees the need.
• Kick Off & Free Kicks: All kicks are Indirect
• Goal Kicks: FIFA law
• Corner Kicks: FIFA law (except Indirect)
• Ball Out of Play: Kick in from the touch line
• Rain Out or Rescheduling: According to CSA policy
• Anything not covered here will be in accordance with FIFA law or CSA policy
